our story

We are Jeff and Ashley Larsen from Kuna, Idaho, and we are Moving With A Mission to serve the people of Guatemala.

For the past 12 years, we have known that God was calling our family to the mission field. That journey began in 2014 when we spent three months serving in Mozambique and Ethiopia. During that time, we experienced both the incredible joy of missions and the real sacrifices that come with living on the mission field. Although we felt called to return home after those three months, we trusted that God was not finished with our story.

Looking back, we can see His perfect timing. Returning to the United States allowed our children to finish their schooling, gave us opportunities to build relationships and ministry partnerships, and prepared us for what He had planned next.

Fast forward to 2026. We traveled to Guatemala with a mission team to provide medical clinics and pastoral care to families living in remote mountain villages. During those ten days, God made it abundantly clear that the time we had been waiting for had arrived. As we served alongside local believers and met families throughout the villages, we couldn't ignore the overwhelming need or the peace God placed on our hearts. We knew He was calling us to move to Guatemala—not for another short-term trip, but to serve there full-time.

When we returned home, we couldn't stop talking about the people we had met, the relationships we had begun to build, and the opportunities to continue serving. We spent time praying, seeking God's direction, and discussing how we could use the gifts, experiences, and connections He had given us to make a lasting impact. Within just a few weeks, our answer was clear:

We're moving to Guatemala!

Our ministry will focus on serving communities throughout the Jalapa Department by partnering with local churches, providing medical outreach, encouraging pastors and church leaders, meeting practical needs, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. We believe lasting transformation happens through long-term relationships, and our desire is to walk alongside the people of Guatemala with compassion, humility, and the love of Christ.
